Rachel Lindsay is reflecting on her marriage with estranged husband Bryan Abasolo and admitted that she “saw signs” of worry before they tied the knot in 2019.

“I would probably say maybe I saw signs before the marriage,” Rachel, 39, said during the Tuesday, December 3, episode of The View. “But as women, we’re fixers and we think we can figure it out. They’re a challenge to us. But eventually, I saw it more. I would say, within two years.”

Earlier in the segment, Rachel shared that everything isn’t always as it seems in the public eye and even the happiest-looking couples face hardships in private.

“We were looked at as one of the more successful relationships that came from [The Bachelorette],” Rachel said during a different part of the conversation. “Anywhere I went, people would ask me about my relationship and how you’re doing. And, you know, when are you having kids and all the things that were wrapped up in that and you feel the public pressure to always let people know that everything is great, even though behind closed doors, that might not be the case. Or that you’re working on it or that you’re having a bad day or whatever it may be.”

Bryan, 44, and Rachel ended season 13 of The Bachelorette engaged in 2017 and got married two years later. The couple never publicly aired their marital woes, which is why it came as a shock to fans when Bryan filed for divorce on January 2 and released a statement hours later.

“After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew. My parents have been married forever and I’m a family man but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go,” he wrote via Instagram. “I wanted you to hear it from the source before the blogs start making up their own reality,” he wrote on Instagram. “Please respect the spaces of our family and friends as we figure out our next steps. Respectfully, Bryan.”

The pair’s separation quickly got tricky as they battled it out over assets in finances because they never signed a prenup.

“Rachel is kicking herself for not having a prenup. She wanted one, but Bryan pushed the idea away and she let it go,” an insider exclusively told Life & Style in June.

The following month, a second source revealed that the chiropractor was “playing dirty” in their divorce.

“Things have gotten ugly. Rachel thinks Bryan is greedy and twisting the facts,” source No. 2 told Life & Style at the time.

“She wants to settle this fair and square, but he’s playing dirty. It’s got her defenses up big-time. But Rachel’s got paperwork to prove what she’s saying is true. She’s a [former] lawyer, after all,” the second insider continued.

Shortly after, Rachel was ordered to pay Bryan $13,000 a month in temporary spousal support. Things got worse for Rachel after she was ordered to pay her ex $40,000 from their community property funds, In Touch reported on August 19.
