Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks has provided an update on her friendships with her costars and has teased what’s to come following the release of the explosive midseason trailer.

In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, the reality star has hinted that there has been no change between her relationship with Whitney Rose, especially since her good friend Lisa Barlow has been arguing with the PRISM jewelry cofounder since the first episode of season 5.

“There are different people getting along with different [people]. I mean you can see there’s very serious tension between Lisa and Whitney as we’ve seen already. And the tension between me and Whitney is pretty high as well,” she said during an interview that took place at her caviar tasting in New York City on November 14.

Earlier in the season, Meredith, 52, brought up a social media post about Whitney’s jewelry looking exactly like jewelry sold on Alibaba, accusing Justin Rose’s wife of using necklaces and other items from the e-commerce site and selling them on PRISM.

Through a source, it was later revealed that Lisa was behind leaking the rumor to a blogger, which she’s profusely denied throughout the season and has called Whitney a “liar.”

When asked about opening up about her personal issues and feelings on the show, Meredith told Life & Style, “I’m pretty clear that the problem is that I’m dealing with a group of women who historically have tried to pour gas on the fire and make situations worse for me, not just in my marriage but also in my friendships. So, it’s a little more intimidating with this particular group than it is in most settings.”

The midseason trailer, which was released following the November 13 episode, shows Meredith accusing someone of putting a recording device in her room.

“There are two different recording issues that you’ll see. I am curious to see it all play out myself because I have certain doubts of things that I thought were very true that may not be so I may owe an apology, maybe,” she teased.

She also said that Monica Garcia, who was fired after last season, does not “stir” drama, despite Whitney revealing to the group of ladies at dinner that she “reached out” to the Housewives alum.

“I don’t really think it’s Monica stirring the drama again. I think that was just a piece of the puzzle. I don’t think Monica really did anything in our season that stirred the drama,” Meredith revealed. “She’s just a little piece of the puzzle, but she didn’t really do anything.”

Instead of Monica returning to season 5, newbie Bronwyn Newport, who was introduced to the cast by Lisa, joined the other returning Housewives – Angie Katsanevas, Heather Gay and Mary Cosby.

Bronwyn has already had drama with Heather and Lisa, and tension with her husband Todd Bradley. Meredith, however, isn’t making any judgment until the season plays out.

“I’ve said with all the newbies after several years of being blindsided with a lot of shocks and surprises, I reserve all judgment until I see the entire season play out,” she said.

The entrepreneur continued, “We definitely have a good formula here and some days I don’t like some of the women that much, but they serve a purpose and that’s fine.”

“I don’t have to necessarily like who they are, but they show who they are. You can only hide it for so long and then your truth seeps out and you can only play games for so long and try to spin things into something that they’re not. Eventually the truth comes out. So I kind of sit back and wait.”

While talking to Life & Style at Alessa NYC to promote Meredith Marks Caviar and its upcoming release at Juniper Bar, she said that right now viewers are watching “the calm before the storm.” Still to come is “crazy, tumultuous drama.”

“This is the calm before the storm. It goes off the rail,” she quipped.
