Jonathan Rone officially introduced fans to his new girlfriend, Michelle Zimmermann, just days after revealing that he was in a relationship. The Golden Bachelorette star posted his first Instagram photo with Michelle on Saturday, November 9.

“We do us really well,” Jonathan, 61, captioned the photo, which featured Michelle sitting on his lap. He also tagged Michelle in the image to confirm her identity.

Jonathan has not shared more information about how he and Michelle met, but she appears to live in San Francisco based on her Instagram profile. On November 8, Jonathan posted an image of the two holding hands and also included a shot of himself in front of the Golden Gate Bridge in the northern California city.

“I started my journey looking for love, a love that is a forever love,” he shared. “A love I thought I once had but this was my second chance! So, I went all in with no walls to protect my vulnerability! I had no other intentions than that! This journey can be full of expectations but the unexpected happened and ‘The Bomb’ is the second chance I’ve been looking for! I am so grateful for all [of the] support and kind words from all of you in Bachelor Nation! I’m happy to say that Michelle is truly ‘My Bomb.’”

The Iowa native was a fan-favorite contestant on Joan Vassos’ season of The Golden Bachelorette, but she sent him home ahead of hometown dates. He returned for the Men Tell All special, which aired on November 6, and happily shared that he found love after filming the dating show.

“I just want to give an update on this journey, that I met someone and the most important thing about that is that I’m happy,” he said.

In a subsequent interview with Extra TV, he added, “It’s going good. I mentioned that, you know, I’m happy. So I’m just going with that. I’m following my heart. I’m just trying to live my life with an authentic heart, being genuine, and so I just let the rest take care of itself.”

Prior to going on The Golden Bachelorette, Jonathan was married. He told Joan, 61, that he was “completely blindsided” when his wife asked for a divorce. They ended their marriage in November 2015.

“One Sunday morning, the kids were sleeping, I was sleeping. My wife woke me up and said, ‘Hey, can we talk?’ She took a deep breath and said, ‘I want a divorce.’ Out of the blue,” Jonathan revealed. “And said, ‘I’m not happy.’” He shares two kids with his ex-wife.

Michelle is also a mom of two. On August 15, she posted a carousel of photos with her son and daughter captioned, “My babies and my baby’s babe!”

Meanwhile, Joan’s journey on The Golden Bachelorette will come to an end with the finale episode on Wednesday, November 13. The mom of four has two men – Guy Gansert and Chock Chapple – left and will make her big decision at the final rose ceremony.
