It’s the release of the notly anticipated Despicable Me 4 and the ?? anticipated MaXXXine!
Inside Out 2 ( $33.1m )*, A Quiet Place Day One ( $21m )*, Ride or Die is not dying, in 4th place at ( $6.7m )*, new opener MaXXXine shows up with ( 6.5m$ ) in 5th place. Pretty close race.
Horizon is expected to have 5.5m this week for a total of 22m$. The fact that it’s total is slightly better than Day One‘s second weekend when they both opened the same day is kind of hilarious. The single-theater 4k release of Seven Samurai made 19k and will go wider… in two cities this week.
