•Variety revealed that Hollywood publicist, Ashlee Margolis, who founded Beverley Hills firm The A List, refuses to work with anyone who criticizes Israel and condemns the genocide of Palestinians
•The A List is “a fixture on red carpets” and works with companies such as CAA, UTA, Lede Company and Wolf Kasteler Public Relations.
•The email that was circulated reads:
“Gentle reminder…We are not working with anyone who on their feed is posting against Israel. If you are unclear if someone’s post is merely sympathetic to the tragic lives being lost in Gaza versus being anti-Israel, feel free to ask me. For example, anyone saying that Israel is committing a “genocide” is someone we will pause on working with, as that is simply not true. While Jews are devastated by the loss of innocent lives in Gaza, we are feeling imminent fear over the rising Jew Hatred all over the world. The Anti-Israel sentiments are causing a lot of Anti-Jew Rhetoric in our own backyards. Please pause on working with any celebrity or influencer or tastemaker posting against Israel. If someone reaches out to ask why you haven’t reached out, let’s work with Sheila on some language you are comfortable with. When this war is over, everything will be die down and im hoping it’s sooner than later.
