Robert Pickton, 74, was attacked in prison on May 19th by a fellow inmate and spent the last days of his life on life support. He was allegedly stabbed with a toothbrush and a broken broom handle. He was convicted of killing 6 women, but is believed to have killed up to 49. Somehow he became eligible for day parole in February 2024, which sparked national outrage.
In the late 90s and early 2000s He would prey on sex workers and Indigenous women, luring them from Downtown Vancouver to his pig farm. The DNA of 33 missing women were found there.
